Be ready to enlighten certain aspects of your musical passion and invite inspiration to settle within your essence. Deepen your connection with music and see the flourishing of a new reality in various aspects of your life.

Our relation with music and sound spans a long way back in time. From the time our brain evolved in a way that it was able to process sounds, and serve as a channel to other states of awareness, music has been given great importance. Music has been used in ceremonies and celebrations as well as to lullaby a child into sleep or to support the mental state of a patient.

The oldest musical instrument is 60 000 years old - a flute made of bone.

The course is composed of several hours of videos, audio and practical exercises spanning throughout five different modules where the bridge between the scientific view and the spiritual view of certain subjects is built. Studies to prove the theory will be mentioned when necessary. It is important to keep an open mind because, even though what is shared is not out of this world, it can be challenging at times. Some things can be explained by science but others will never be able to. In the old Greece philosophers considered two ways to gather knowledge: the 'mythos' and the 'logos', 'logos' to do with modern western science and 'mythos' to do with divine deeds.

Last but not least, this course does not claim or promote any cure, the therapies and concepts proposed in here work better as a prevention, but we can’t deny it’s healing nature. There is a vast list of reported success in healing with music and sound.

So, jump in this trip through the deeper realms of the healing essence of music and immerse yourself in one of the most beautiful elements we were blessed with as human beings, MUSIC!

Believe it or not, you will make a music composition by the end of this course.

Foundations

Recent and old studies have proved the use of music as a very effective tool in healing physical, mental and emotional conditions, as well as being pleasant to the subject. Research has found that when a subject listens to music that gives them the chills, it triggers a release of dopamine to the brain. And if you don't know, dopamine is a kind of naturally occurring happy chemical we receive as part of a reward system.

Other reactions also take place in the brain and body when listening to certain music but, there is something else to music, as if it was an element which we are made of but we know very little about. That mystery has been the object of research for many people around the world: scientists; medical practitioners; musicians; religious and spiritual people. All expecting to know more about the amazing effects that music can have on a human being.

In order to understand the processes triggered by music, we need to understand our body. Not just our physical body, but all the energy structures we are made of. Einstein said everything is energy with the equation e=mc2, meaning matter can be turned into energy and vice versa. So, understanding this energy and the different spectrum, is of great importance in order to take the best out of the use of music. It will open new perspectives and encourage you to take a step further in your relation with music. It will also support different therapies that can be integrated with music. How and why they work and what they are indicated for. How the use of your focus and attention enhances the results of certain practices and therapies. Then it will give you tools to choose from in order to develop your own music medicine in any form you wish.
